Week 1, Term 4!

Hi Everyone,

Can't believe we're already in Term 4!

Well, we're still learning online and our learners are still working hard and producing some great work. This term, our learn, create, share focus is on CELEBRATIONS! 

With IDENTITY being our Inquiry focus for the year, we've decided that this term is about CELEBRATING US! Term 1 had a heavy focus on ACCEPTANCE, Term 2 was BELONGING and term 3 was focused on CONNECTIONS! This week is about CELEBRATING US and all the wonderful things that make US who we are today.

For writing, we looked at descriptive writing but in a slightly different way. We wrote down words of affirmations about ourselves and created videos about us.

Hope's LCS task on personal highlights in life!

 For LCS our task for that is the list down our Personal Timeline. Using google drawing I've listed 15 personal highlights that have happened in my life until now. I've listed the events and the dates but ones that I could remember and feel okay with other people knowing about my past experiences. The 15 pieces of information are ones that I had fun doing and that made me a bit more social towards people. 

Faiana's LCS task about her Family

Today for our LCS task we had to answer questions about our family. It was great learning about my family by talking to my mum about our heritage and family connections. Hope you like it!

What's important to you

For LSC we had to make a list of up to 5-10 things that we would take with us if we had to suddenly leave home. I took photo's of things I would take then i wrote about why they would be important. There are also questions that we had to answer at the bottom that asked about thing we would miss most and things that are important to us.

Samoan Language Week 2020

GTS had a great experience with Samoan Language Week this year. Between the three senior classes (Rm 13, Rm 12 and Rm 11), we made 3 famous Samoan dishes.

On Tuesday, Rm 12 made Koko Alaisa for all of the three class. On Wednesday, Rm 13 made Pani Popo. On Thursday, Mrs Faalili and her family made an 'umu for the whole school, and on Friday, Rm 11 made Panikeke Mafolofola.

It was a week filled with Authentic Learning and everybody at Glen Taylor loved it!
