Working with Target Students.

Learning Intention: Retelling the story in the form of a poem or rap.

With my target students we read the fable 'The tortoise and the hare'. We looked at retelling the story in our own words as a poem or rap song. Before getting into it straight away, we had to look at a few words and came up with synonyms for them to make our task more interesting. Here's a few photos of what we ended up with at the end of the lesson...it was very productive!

Recently this term we have been working on a little something called a Scraffito for reading. A Scraffito is a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface to reveal a lower layer of a contrasting colour, typically done in plaster or stucco on walls, or in slip on ceramics before firing. The Orange tigers and the Yellow Vipers have watched a legendary video and did different scenes from whole video. The Orange Tigers did Sina And the tuna. It took them a while to do it but it was marvelous when it was finally completed.
