In acknowledgement of Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori, Room 11 looked at a couple of Maori Waiata. We also created our own Pepeha, using a template Miss Tupou provided us with.
We celebrate all the language weeks in our class. Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori is important to us because we want to acknowledge the people of the land we live on. Miss Tupou talks about the importance of respecting TANGATA WHENUA and contributing to Aotearoa in a positive way.
Our way of showing respect is to learn the language, through singing and our Pepeha. Check it out!
We are Learners at Glen Taylor School in Auckland, New Zealand and our teacher is Mrs Tupou-Fonua.

#StayPositive
This morning we decided our class needed a REBOOT and a REMINDER of why being POSITIVE is important.
Each of us wrote positive messages to keep us going and to stay motivated. Check out some of our inspirational writing!
